Jasper, Alberta · Est. 1983
Public courts, community lessons, and a club that's welcomed players of every age for over forty years — resurfaced, repainted, and ready for the town of Jasper to gather and play.
Welcome
Jasper Park Racquet Club has been part of this town's outdoor life since 1983 — long before pickleball had a name. We look after the courts at the Jasper Activity Centre in partnership with the Municipality of Jasper, run lessons for kids and adults, and keep the gates open to residents, seasonal workers, and the two million visitors who pass through Jasper National Park every year.
Whether you've never picked up a paddle or you're chasing down your club championship, there's a place for you here.
Two Courts, One Community
Our tennis courts have hosted club play since the 1980s. Recently resurfaced with a modern plexipave-based system, they're built for everything from a casual rally to focused lesson drills — with a ball machine available for members who want to train solo.
Pickleball has grown faster than almost any sport in North America — and Jasper finally has courts built for it. What was once a decommissioned skate park is now dedicated pickleball space, lined and surfaced to a proper standard.
Facility Renewal
In 1996, the club paved its first courts with provincial grant support and countless volunteer hours. Nearly thirty years later, we did it again — partnering with the Municipality of Jasper and the Government of Alberta's Community Facility Enhancement Program to resurface our aging courts and turn a retired skate park into dedicated pickleball space.
It's the same story it's always been: a small club, a generous community, and courts that outlast any one season.
